Meet Vivien Szaniszlo!
Vivien Szaniszlo is a fine artist who communicates her unique voice through the use of colors! She uses oil paint and watercolor to create forms of mystical and magical art that will transform you into another world. She has different styles of art like her popular glow in the dark series, to her watercolor pieces that are more surreal, and of course, the Zodiac series which are featured below.
Connecting with this artist was a great experience, as she was warm, friendly and open to talk about her love of art.
Vivien started painting at the age of 9 and had a very good Russian art teacher that told her why not try watercolor painting. Because before then she was just using pencils.
And after that, she never stopped. After a few years she tried oil paints, and now this is her favorite!
So what did inspire her mystical themed art?
“I love spiritual things..bones, animals, and I love to paint women portraits. I really believe we are more than just our body, our material suit..so maybe this is the reason why I like to express mystical things in my art. I try to capture the fragile lines between life and death, or afterlife“.

“I always paint with full of my heart to share my original emotional paintings with people, who have an open soul for them. This is my passion. I try to show other perspectives in human relationships, and the connection with the world, each other, and with ourselves. I love to create weird woman portraits, with animals, and bones. For me so important to put meanings, and depth in my works. Painting is a conversation without words, I speak by colors with you”. –Vivien Szaniszlo
